Unique care plans

At St Nectans, we are acutely aware that transitioning into a care home can be a distressing experience for both the incoming residents and their loved ones. However, it is often a necessary step to ensure their well-being, safety, and receipt of proper care. We invite prospective residents to visit our home before moving in to ensure the atmosphere meets their approval.

Our approach to care is tailored to each individual. Upon contact with a new client, our priority is to learn about their personal history, preferences, and medical background. This knowledge allows us to craft a bespoke care plan. We advocate for residents to maintain autonomy by engaging in daily activities, hobbies, and social interactions, thereby promoting an active lifestyle surrounded by friends and family.

We pledge to collaborate closely with you, your relatives, advocates, and any professionals involved in your care to compile all necessary details to fulfill your unique care requirements effectively.

We are conveniently located overlooking the sea, close to the main shopping area in Bexhill-on-Sea. The main railway station is also nearby with easy access to the local medical centre and all other local social and religious amenities.

//Why Choose Us//

Social Life and Leisure

We believe that social and leisure aspects of life are an integral part of care, which should be all about achieving maximum independence and helping people to have some fun!

As our Philosophy of Care is to look at the 'Whole Person' and not just part of a person. It is so important to identify each person individually in order to bring the right benefits for them. This can be achieved when having awareness of the following:

  • Physical needs

  • Emotional needs

  • Environmental needs

  • Spiritual needs

Types of Care Explained

Residential Care

Residential care refers to long-term care provided in a communal setting, such as a care home. It is designed for individuals who require assistance with daily activities, including personal care, meals, and medication management. Residents live in a supportive environment where trained staff offer 24-hour supervision and support.

Respite Care

Respite care provides temporary relief for family carers of people who need assistance. It allows the carers a break from their responsibilities for a short period thereby preventing burnout. While ensuring the cared-for individual receives proper attention in a safe environment. Respite care helps in maintaining a sustainability for everyone.

Dementia Care

Dementia care provides specialised support for residents with memory loss and cognitive decline. This care focuses on maintaining independence and managing symptoms. Staff are trained to meet residents' individual needs, helping with daily activities, promoting emotional well-being, and ensuring resident safety and dignity.

Independent Living

Independent living offers a sense of autonomy for residents who require minimal assistance. They self-manage most daily activities like dressing, bathing, and cooking. Support services like meals, housekeeping and basic medical monitoring can be provided. This option fosters independence while ensuring access to help when needed.
